ODESSA - Samuel Galindo Chavarria, 71, a retired steel company foreman, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Zepeda officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Terlingua and moved to Odessa from Big Spring in 1960. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Geneva Chavarria of Odessa; son, Samuel Chavarria Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Gloria Rodriguez of Odessa; brother, Joe Chavarria of Odessa; sisters, Isabel Ramirez, Reyes Garcia and Maria Dominguez, all of Big Spring; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
