Teresa Bernal, age 78, passed away at Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Odessa Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Visitation will be held on July 7, 2011 at Triunfo De La Fe Church in Fort Stockton from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Triunfo De La Fe Church in Fort Stockton with Pastor Vicente Cabello officiating. Interment will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton. Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend of Fort Stockton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Teresa was born on Friday, March 3, 1933 in Terlingua, Texas to parents Octaviano and Juana (Sandate) Lopez. Teresa family moved to Coahuila State, Mexico shortly after her birth. Teresa’s favorite things were hearing the word of the Lord, and listening to Christian songs. She never met a stranger. Above all else Teresa loved her family and spent every moment she could with them. Teresa also helped raise three family members brothers Jesus, Simon and Urbano Tames. Teresa Bernal was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Pedro N. Bernal; sons Dionicio L. Bernal, Juan Bernal, Ismael Bernal; daughter Irene Guevara. Teresa is survived by son Jesus (Socorro) Bernal of Fort Stockton; daughter Pascuala (Oscar) Cabello of Del Rio, Texas; daughter Zoila (Vicente) Cabello of Fort Stockton; daughter Ernestina (Oscar) Gonzalez of Fort Stockton; son Pedro (Rosa) Bernal of Fort Stockton; daughter Araceli (Salvador) Garay of Fort Stockton; son Cruz (Brian) Bernal of Fort Stockton ; daughter in law Ernestina Bernal of Fort Stockton; son in law Jesus Guevara of Fort Stockton; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special friend Antonieta Gonzalez; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

FORT STOCKTON Irene Guevara, 50, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at her residence in Fort Stockton.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. today at the Templo Triunfo De La Fe in Fort Stockton. Interment will follow at the local East Hill Cemetery.

SURVIVORS Husband, Jesus Guevara of Fort Stockton; son, Abraham Guevara of Fort Stockton; daughter, Nancy Salazar of Fort Stockton; mother, Teresa Bernal of Fort Stockton; brothers, Jesus Bernal, Pedro Bernal, and Cruz Bernal, all of Fort Stockton; sisters, Pascuala Cabello of Del Rio and Zoila Cabello, Ernestina Gonzales, and Aracely Garay, all of Fort Stockton; and five grandchildren.
