FORT STOCKTON Julio Quintela Sr., 97, of Fort Stockton, a retired rancher, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Pecos County Hospital in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Terlingua. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Antonia Quintela of Fort Stockton; sons, Joe Quintela, Jessie Quintela, Able Quintela, Julio Quintela Jr. and Clayto Quintela, all of Fort Stockton; daughter, Esperanza Celaya of Fort Stockton; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
