CRANE — On July 23, 2004, Juliana went to be with her beloved Lord.
She was a loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a devoted lifetime member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and sang in the choir. She was the leader of the Rosary Group there every Tuesday and Friday. She also participated in many other church activities.
She has been a Crane native since 1956 — born in Buena Vista — and loved by all who knew her. She will be extremely missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Chavarria; mother, Agripina Chavarria; brother, Helijadro Chavarria; and sister, Dominga Primera.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ismael V. “Pete” Heredia Sr.; daughter, Aurora H. Garcia of Crane; sons, Ricky Heredia and Martha of Crane, Johnnie Heredia and wife Virginia of Phoenix, Ariz., Ismael Heredia Jr. and wife Bertha of Andrews and Guadalupe “Wally” Heredia and wife Amalia “Molly” of Midland; and 11 grandchildren, Neomi L. Garcia, Arick Heredia and wife Brenna, Kristien Vuelvas and husband Johnny, Ricky Heredia II, Joseph Heredia, Andrea Heredia, Johnnie Heredia Jr., Adriana Heredia, Isaac Heredia, Samantha Heredia and Joseph Casas. She also had three great-grandchildren, Faith Garza, Koby Ross Henderson and Harley Casas. Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Gomez and husband Rosendo of Odessa, Simona Jimenez and husband Mercy of Kermit and Pina Jaquez and husband Chayo of Odessa; and by nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2004, at the Sacred Heart Church with burial to follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
