Juliana "Julia" Carrasco, 81, born April 6, 1927 in Alpine, Texas, passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 in Kermit, Texas.
Julia was the last child of Nestor and Petra Carrasco. She was also a very godly, caring woman and a servant to all. She enjoyed going to church and attending all church functions. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Fort Stockton and in her spare time she enjoyed parties, traveling, and casinos. Julia will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.

A vigil prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

She is survived by: niece: Viola "Negra" Winn of Kermit, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Felix Okeeke officiating. Internment followed at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents: Nestor and Petra Carrasco, and siblings: Paulita Carrasco, Petra Brisenio, Mary Urias, Mercedes Blanco, Camila Moreno, Henry Jose, and Brijido Carrasco.

Arrangements were in the care of Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
