Juan C. Ramos, 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 2 in a Fort Stockton area hospital.
Rosary was recited Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the church with Father Rick Ruiz officiating. Military burial followed in Holy Angels Cemetery. Funeral services entrusted to Geeslin Funeral Home.
Mr. Ramos was born on May 6, 1916 in Terlingua to Felipe and Ramona Ramos. He served his country as a member of the Army during World War II. Juan had worked as a foreman for Big Bend National Park. He was a member of the Catholic church and a life-long resident of Brewster County. Juan was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jesusita Ramos; his parents, Felipe and Ramona Ramos; and his two sons, Ervay and Alvaro Ramos.
