Josie Williams Luna, 58, of Marfa, died Thursday, Sept. 26 at her home

Rosary was held on Sunday, Sept. 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa. Funeral Mass was held Monday, Sept. 30 at the church. Burial followed at Merced Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home in Marfa was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Luna was born in Marfa on Dec. 21, 1943 to Josefina and Catarino Williams. She married Alejandro "Alex" Luna in Marfa on Oct. 5, 1963. She was employed as a nurses aide with Outreach and Nurses Unlimited. She was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alex Luna of Marfa; two sons, Joe Alex Luna and his wife, Gloria, of Odessa and Jamie Lee Luna of Marfa; two brothers, Alberto G. Williams of Mafa and Quintin G. Williams of Carrollton; and four grandsons.

Her son, Oscar Ray Luna, preceded her in death in April 1988.
