Julian Garcia’s family can be traced back to his grandfather Tomas Garcia. Tomas Married Micaela Chavez and they had four known children:
1. Dionicio Garcia was born around 1840 in Mexico. He went to the United States for a while (no details available), then returned to Mexico. On February 8, 1859 he married Simona Jimenez in Jesus Nazareno Temple in Ojinaga. She was born in 1843, the daughter of Andres Jimenez and Facunda Nieto. Dionicio was killed in Fort Stockton circa 1877. Simona died in Terlingua in 1904 and is buried in El Camposanto del Arroyo. They had eight children:
A. Julian Garcia (#1) was born in Ojinaga, Mexico and died there in July 1961 at age 2. He is buried at Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga.
B. Daughter Eleuteria Garcia died as a child In Ojinaga in March 1864 and is buried at Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. Her birth date is not available.
C. Son Jesus Garcia was born in 1862 and died in Ojinaga in April 1864. He is buried at Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga.
D. Son Julian Garcia (#2) was born January 16, 1865 in Ojinaga. (See Documented Research Report).

F. Daughter Feliciana Garcia was born in Mexico in 1870 and died there in October 1871. She is buried at Presidio del Norte, Chihuahua, Mexico.

2. Son Mariano Garcia was born in Ojinaga in 1845. He married Manuela Cataño November 17, 1869 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. She was the daughter of Pablo Cataño and Eleuteria Tarango.
3. Daughter Justa Garcia was born in 1848 in Ojinaga, possibly a twin of Mauricia. She married Matilde Salinas.
4. Daughter Mauricia Garcia was born in 1848 in Ojinaga, possibly a twin of Justa. She married Santana Gonzalez August 2, 1868 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. He was born in Ojinaga, the son of Juan Jose Gonzalez and Nestora Rodriguez. Mauricia and Santana had four children:
A. Daughter Felicita Gonzalez married Santos Enriquez January 8, 1894 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. He was born in 1870, the son of Felix Enriquez and Justa Perez.
B. Son Bonifacio Gonzalez was born in Comanche, Texas in 1873. He married Felipa Hinojos April 18, 1898 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. She was born in 1874, the daughter of Severo Hinojos and Faustina Acosta. Her paternal grandparents were Juan Hinojos and Crisostoma Lujan and her maternal grandparents were Crisanto Acosta and Juana Canero.
C. Daughter Maria Gonzalez was born in 1874. She married Belen Villanueva January 29, 1894 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. His mother was Maria de la Cruz Sotelo.
D. Daughter Paula Gonzalez was born in 1885. She married Jose Ramos December 8, 1904 in Jesus Nazareno Temple, Ojinaga. He was the son of Basilio Ramos and Eulogia Valenzuela.
