Jesus White Ramos, 72, of Alpine died July 2, at her residence.
Funeral Mass was July 4 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church conducted by Rev. Tony Bengert with burial in Holy Angels Cemetery directed by Geeslin Funeral Home.
Ramos was born October 19, 1919 in Terlingua and was a lifelong resident of Alpine where for the last 16 years she had owned and operated first the Alamo Cafe and then the La Casita. She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include: husband, Juan Ramos of Alpine; three daughters, Celia Vasquez of Del Rio, Elva Rodriguez of Fort Stockton, and Florinda Ramos of Alpine; three sons, Lionel Ramos, Raul Ramos, and Alvaro Ramos all of Alpine; four sisters, Maria Whittington of Fort Stockton, Cruz Hinojos of Amarillo, Dola Dominguez of Odessa, and Dede White of Dallas; two brothers, Arturo White of Terlingua and Fred White of Odessa; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were: JoAnna Hernandez, SSgt. Belinda Hansen, Michael A. Rodriguez, Roy O. Rodriguez, Ervay Ramos and Alvaro Ramos. Ushers were, Edeardo A. Vasquez and Adrian Perales.
