ODESSA Robert Bernard, 72, of Odessa, passed away Dec. 2, 2009, at his residence. He was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Imperial, Texas.
Viewing will be held today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary said at 7:30 p.m. by Gabriel Rodriguez at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Bernardito Getigan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors are wife, Eva Bernard; daughters, Rosanne Tavarez and husband Jaime, Michelle Casilas and husband Gabriel; brother, Juan Bernard; sister, Victoria Navarette; aunt, Mary Galindo, all of Odessa; grandchildren, Tabitha and husband Anthony, April Tavarez, Bianca Tavarez, Sasha Villareal and husband Joe, Elizabeth Casias, Gabriel Casias and wife Kimberly and Michael Casias; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Juarez, Abby Dominguez, Averi Dominguez, Alizeah Villareal, Serenity Estrada, Janie Casias, Samantha Vitrano, Anthony Dominguez and Isaiah Casias.
