GRANADO
A funeral mass for Domingo S. Granado, 78, will be May 12 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM. Interment will follow at the Loving Cemetery. He died May 8 at his home. West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 16, 1922, in Terlingua, TX, to Gil and Lonjina Salmon Granado. He was raised in Texas and met his bride there. He married Fidela Valenzuela on September 13, 1942, in Alpine, TX. He enlisted in the Navy on December 6, 1944, and was honorably discharged as a Seaman Second Class on March 14, 1946. After his discharge he and his family moved to Loving. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Belia; brothers, Balbino, Mauro and Elojio Granado; and sisters, Santiaga Lopez, Antonio Vera, Julia Huerta, Maria Cadena, Manuela Granado and Rosa Garcia.
Survivors include his wife, of the family home; sons, Ernest V. Granado, Sr., Adan V. Granado Sr., and Oscar V. Granado Sr. of Loving; daughter, Marie Corella of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Genovebo Granado of Imperial, TX; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
