Delia Granado Fierro, 75, of Alpine, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in an El Paso hospital.
Rosary was recited Friday, Oct. 10, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Our Lady of Peace with Father Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial was in Holy Angels Cemetery directed by Alpine Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fierro was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Terlingua to Victoriana and Amando Granado. She had worked as an LVN at Big Bend Regional Medical Center for 16 years and had worked as a volunteer for Alpine Valley Care Center for seven years.
Mrs. Fierro was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Fierro, and a son “Cougar” Fierro.
Survivors include one daughter, Vicky Fierro of Alpine; four sons, Samuel Fierro and wife Annabelle of El Paso, Randy Fierro and wife Lilly of El Paso, Gary Fierro and wife Grace of Odessa and Roberto “Bobby” Fierro and wife Mercy of Odessa.
