Mrs. Antonia Portillo, 46, died early Monday morning, Aug 4, after a long illness.

Rosary services were held in the family residence here Tuesday night. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Holy Angels Cemetery under direction of Geeslin Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Manuel Muniz, Robert Rojo, Robert Salgado, Herman Gonzales St., Lalo Tucker and Felix Llanez.

Mrs. Portillo was born May 23, 1923 in Castolon. She had been a lifelong resident of Alpine. She was a Catholic.

Survivors include her husband Adam; five daughters, Eva Portillo, Mary Ann Gonzales, Elidia Llanez and Angie Portillo, all of Alpine, and Mrs. Tomasa Montelongo of Midland; a son Lucky Portillo of Alpine; four sisters, Jessie Lopez and Mary Lopez, both of Midland, Petra Sanchez of Alpine and Paula Rojo of Lubbock; two brothers, Julian Sanchez of Kermit and Faustino Sanchez of Ruidoso, N.M. and 12 grandchildren.
