Alex Luna, Sr., 60, of Marfa, died at his home on Oct. 7.
Rosary was held Thursday, Oct. 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held Friday, Oct. 10, at the church with burial following at Merced Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Luna was born in Marathon on July 23, 1943, to Alejandro Luna and Teresa Bricena. He was employed by ABC Pump for 39 years and was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sons, Joe Alex of Odessa and Jamie Lee Luna of Marfa; two brothers, Alfonso Luna of Carlsbad, N.M., and Luis Renteria of El Paso; three sisters, Irene Vigil of Fredricksburg, Va., Ana Maria Vigil of El Paso, and Patsy Briceno of Crane; four grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Zachary and Nathan Luna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
