Parents and Siblings of Alejandro Luna

Alejandro Luna was the third of eight children born to Luis Luna and Refugia Hernandez. Probably all eight were born in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico. Only Alejandro and his brother Luis are known to have immigrated to the United States. Shown below are the names as they appeared in their baptism records (no baptism record was found for Luis).

1.    Daughter Maria Concepcion Dolores Juana de Jesus Luna Hernandez was baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on April 8, 1855.

2.    Daughter Maria Merced Modesta Leogarda de Jesus Luna Hernandez was baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on June 18, 1856.

3.    Son Jose Alejandro Valentin de Jesus Luna Hernandez was born February 11, 1858 and baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on February 14, 1858.

4.    Son Luis Luna was born in Mexico in 1861. He married Arcadia Morales in Jesus Nazareno Church, Ojinaga, Chihuahua on September 15, 1885. Luis died in Shafter, Texas on April 5, 1932 and is buried in Shafter.

5.    Daughter Maria Rebeca Nicanora Macaria Refugio de Jesus Luna was baptized in the Arquidiocesis de Chihuahua, Chihuahua on January 10, 1863.

6.    Son Jose Candido Juan Luna Hernandez was baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on 27 May 1865.

7.    Daughter Maria del Refugio Adalberta Luna Hernandez was baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on April 24, 1866.

8.    Son Refugio Othon Francisco Luna Hernandez was baptized in El Sagrario, Chihuahua on July 4, 1868.
