Bernardino Gamboa Family
Bernardino Gamboa was born in Mexico circa 1850, married Gomecinda Hinojos circa 1875. She was born in Mexico circa 1857.
Bernardino and Gomecinda had nine children:
1. Daughter Cornelia Gamboa born in Texas circa 1879, married Dionicio Salas circa 1897. He was born in Mexico 8 Apr 1868, the son of Epifanio Salas and Tiburcia Estrada.
They had ten children:
A. Daughter Isabel Salas born Texas on 8 Jul 1897, married Jose "Joe" White. Isabel died in Alpine 21 Apr 1932 and Joe died in Alpine 9 May 1932.
They had two children:
(1). Son Manuelito White.
(2). Daughter Isabel White
B. Daughter Teodora Salas born in Fort Stockton, Texas on 28 Mar 1900, died in Marathon 9 Oct 1954.
C. Son Francisco Salas born in Texas on 29 Jan 1902, married Irene White circa 1925.
They had three children:
(1). Son Elias Salas was born in Brewster County 6 Jul 1926.
(2). Son Epifanio Salas born in Brewster County 21 Sep 1928.
(3). Daughter Floralia Salas born in Brewster County 21 Jan 1941.
D. Daughter Canuta Salas born in San Vicente in 1904, married Manuel Aguilar of Marathon circa 1924. He was the son of Tomas Aguilar and Felipa Sosa. Canuta died in Brewster County on 3 May 1983. Manuel died in Alpine on 24 Oct 1972
They had three children:
(1). Daughter Carolina Aguilar.
(2). Daughter Maria Lucia Aguilar born in Brewster County 29 Jun 1926.
(3). Son Antonio Aguilar, Sr. born 17 Jul 1928 in Brewster County, married Sara Garcia, daughter of Matilde Garcia and Teodora “Ma Lola” Granado.
They had five children:
a. Daughter Jo Ella Aguilar married David Bewley.
b. Daughter Glynda Aguilar married Bill Gonzales.
c. Daughter Lorissa Aguilar married Guadalupe Gonzalez.
d. Daughter Gina Aguilar married James McCormack.
e. Son Antonio Aguilar, Jr. born 19 Jan 1948 in Marathon, Texas. He died in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 385 about 12 miles south of Marathon on 2 Mar2003.
E. Daughter Juanita Salas born in Texas circa 1907.
F. Daughter Teresa Salas was born 24 Aug 1909.
G. Son Eugenio Salas born in Texas circa 1912.
H. Daughter Rita Salas born in Texas circa 1914.
I. Daughter Braulia Salas born circa 1917 in Texas, married Santiago White, born circa 1912 in Texas, the son of William White and Cresencia Morales.
They had three children:
(1) Son Rafael White born 18 Aug 1934 in Brewster County.
(2) Daughter Bernarda Alisia White born 5 Jul 1936 in Brewster County.
(3) Son Fidel White born 27 Mar 1938 in Brewster County.

2. Son Anastacio Gamboa born circa 1880 in Texas. Circa 1905 he married Victoria Baiza.
They had four children:
A. Son Dionicio Gamboa born 9 Oct 1906, probably in Terlingua.
B. Son Liberato Gamboa born on 16 Aug 1908 in Castolon, Texas, married Virginia Vasquez 10 Jan 1936. She was born in Marathon 18 Oct 1917, the daughter of Jesus Vasquez and Virginia Davalos.
They had ten children:
(1) Daughter Rosa Gamboa (#1) born on 3 Aug 1937 in Texas, died on 12 1937 in Marathon.
(2) Son Anastacio Gamboa born 6 Mar 1939 in Brewster County, married Anita Corrales.
They had two children:
a. Daughter Alma Gamboa. Her married name is Gomez.
b. Daughter Amy Gamboa. Her married name is Castillo.
(3) Son Roberto Gamboa born on 18 Apr 1941 in Brewster County. His first wife was Elvira Esparza and they had three children:

a. Daughter Mahalia Castaneda. Her married name is Ruiz.
b. Daughter Augora Castaneda.
c. Daughter Rachel Castaneda. Her married name is Camacho.
d. Daughter Paula Castaneda. Her married name is Tate.
e. Son Leonardo Castaneda.
(6) Son Francisco Gamboa born in Fort Stockton circa 1947. He died shortly after birth.
(7) Daughter Esperanza “Hope” Gamboa born in 1948., died 10 Jul 1990. She married Salvador Rangel.
They had three children:
a. Son Salvador Rangel, Jr.
b. Son Israel “Riley” Rangel married Mary Johnson.
They had two children:

bb. Daughter Esperanza Rangel.
c. Son Robert Rangel. His wife’s name is Martha.

C. Son Manuel Gamboa.
D. Son Margarito Gamboa born 10 Dec 1910 in San Vicente, married Narcisa Ramirez in 1943. He died on 2 Dec 2005 in Fort Stockton. His wife preceded him in death. Margarito and Narcisa had three children:
(1) Daughter Rosa Elva Gamboa. Her married name is Gonzales.
(2) Daughter Petra Gamboa. Her married name is Rosas.
(3) Daughter Aurora Gamboa. Her married name is Porras.
After the death of Anastacio Gamboa, Victoria married Felix Dominguez. He died in Ojinaga. They had four children:
A. Son Pilar Dominguez.
B. Son Jesus Dominguez. He died in Chihuahua City, Mexico.
C. Son Ojenio Dominguez.
D. Daughter Ignacia Dominguez married Epifanio Galindo.
3. Son Salome Gamboa born in Texas circa 1887.
4. Daughter Adelaida Gamboa born circa 1890 in Texas married Eustolio Rivera.
They had one son:
A. Antonio Rivera born on 19 Jul 1906, probably in San Vicente.

6. Son Juan Gamboa born 8 Feb 1893 in Fort Stockton, died 22 Apr 1983 in Midland. Married Gabriela Morin 30 Apr 1919.

K. Son Francisco Gamboa. He was born January 28, 1941 and died in a ranching accident in Midland May 10, 1997. He married Juanita Ramirez and they had three children:
(1) Daughter Hilda Gamboa was born in 1963. Her married name is Hignojos.
(2) Daughter JoAnn Gamboa was born in 1967.
(3) Son Francisco Gamboa, Jr. was born in 1969.
7. Son Julian Gamboa born circa 1895 in Texas.
8. Daughter Eufracia Gamboa was born on 13 Mar 1896, probably in Fort Stockton.
9. Rodriga Gamboa was born circa 1898, probably in Fort Stockton, married Gilberto Marufo circa 1916 and they had five children (see Gilberto Marufo Family History for details).
