Remijio Garcia was born circa 1864 at La Hacienda del Salada, Mexico. He married Rosaria Martinez circa 1894. She was born at La Hacienda del Salada circa 1880. They immigrated to the United States in 1895. In 1900 and 1910 the couple, with son Adolfo, was living in Brewster County Precinct 4, probably in the Boquillas/San Vicente area. In 1900 his occupation was shown as “laborer” and in 1910 as “farm hand”. He remained in the same general area in 1920 when his occupation was shown as “farmer”. In 1930 he and Rosaria were living in San Vicente, where he was working as a sheep herder.
